Sometimes trying to find love online can have a bad reputation but maybe a couple of selfies and a few lines of text are all you need to find your future husband or wife!
Nikki & Malliha – Instagram
Nikki and Malliha’s story began in 2012 when they were both scrolling through the social media networking site, Instagram. Instagram is not a dating site, but it is easy to meet people from all over the world by looking through pictures that others have posted.
Nikki saw a photograph of Maliha whilst she was browsing through Instagram and was immediately taken back, not only by her beauty, but how amazing the photo was. Nikki thought the photo was so incredible that she saved the image and set it as a screensaver on her smart tablet. Nikki then pursued Malliha by adding her on Instagram and commenting on one of her posts. Unfortunately, Malliha did not see the comment so she did not reply and the potential to strike up a conversation fizzled out until months later. The two met an event, immediately clicked and it went from there. They have so much in common and feel as if they can ‘read each other’s minds’.
Michelle & Dan – Tinder
After coming out of a bad relationship, Michelle downloaded PlentyOfFish and Match.com and ended up meeting lots of unappealing people. With the tiniest bit of hope, she downloaded Tinder and after 3 days, she ended up speaking to a man named Dan.
They had lots in common and only after speaking for a small time they felt like they had been friends for years. Only a week later they had their first date in person, Michelle was full of nerves, but Dan made her feel comfortable straight away.
Skip forward 3 months and Dan moved in with Michelle and even brought him a dog. They are now happily engaged with a toddler named Oliver. A true love story!
Monette & Simone – Bumble
In early 2019, Simone and Monette were 2 of the 22 million users on the dating app Bumble looking for love. Simone swiped right on Monnette’s profile because of her ‘beautiful smile’, a move that would spark the start of a beautiful relationship. Monette replied with ‘Hey’ which ignited a conversation that went on for days.
At this time Monnette was still getting to know other Bumble users but felt more interested and attracted to Simone. They both agreed that they had lots of stuff in common and looked forward to speaking to each other at the end of the day.
After a week of talking digitally, they decided to plan to meet in person. Simone picked Monnette up from her house and even opened up the car door for her. They went to a Korean restaurant which was not all very extravagant, but it was still very special.
After this date Simone had fallen head over heels for Monnette and throughout the next two months he asked her to be his girlfriend. In love, Monnette finally said yes and they are still happily together.
